Hand Polishing

Hand polishing of antique furniture is an art and takes years of practice to perfect.

Hand polishing is only really suitable for your antiques in your home that are treasured and cared for.
It will give them a new lease of life ridding them of marks and scuffs but not of their natural beauty that can only be acheived through age and is part of the charm of an antique.

It is not reccomended that furniture that gets a lot of daily use be french polished as this finish is not waterproof or hardwearing.
For this it is recommended a more modern hardwearing spray lacquer finish. See Spray and paint finishes page
